After more than 25 years of representing sellers and buyers, we have mastered the art and science of consummating successful transactions. Our professionals have advised on hundreds of M&A transactions ranging in size from tens of millions to hundreds of thousands and on several hundred million dollars worth of financing transactions. Our experience spans the breadth of the healthcare services industry, but our deepest area of expertise continues to be home health, hospice, and home care.
Message from the Managing Partner
Somebody must have invoked the ancient curse “may you live in interesting times” because, for healthcare services providers, these are certainly interesting times. The last major upheaval in the healthcare services industry was the transition away from reimbursement to the Prospective Payment System. Now policymakers have done it again, trying to optimize healthcare spending by replacing fee-for-service healthcare delivery with value-based models that emphasize patient coordination and outcomes.

Jack J. Eskenazi, Jr.
MANAGING PARTNER
Jack has over 25 years of experience as a mergers & acquisitions advisory professional. He established Healthcare Advisory Partners in 2008. Prior to establishing Healthcare Advisory Partners, he founded American HealthCare Capital with his father, Jack Sr. When not working to maximize value, Jack enjoys backpacking, mountain biking, & volunteering at Aptos Little League.
Jack is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley.
Thomas J. Fennell
VICE PRESIDENT
Tom has over 15 years of experience as a mergers & acquisitions advisory professional. He joined Healthcare Advisory Partners in 2008. Prior to joining us, Tom was a vice president at Phillip Roman & Co., specializing in private equity recapitalizations. When not working to maximize value, Tom enjoys golfing, surfing, & volunteering at the West LA Animal Services Center.
Tom is a veteran of the US Air Force.
John R. Rafferty
VICE PRESIDENT
John has over 15 years of experience as a mergers & acquisitions advisory professional. He joined Healthcare Advisory Partners in 2008. Prior to joining us, John was a management consultant at Design For Life, specializing in productivity & team building. When not working to maximize value, John enjoys poker, magic & a brisk walk in the park. He’s also a Medicare beneficiary who has been a home health patient!
John is a veteran of the US Marine Corps.
Samuel H. Rubin
ASSOCIATE
Sam has over 10 years of experience as a mergers & acquisitions advisory professional. He joined Healthcare Advisory Partners in 2015. Prior to joining us, Sam was an operations specialist with the Odwalla natural juice division of Coca Cola. When not working to maximize value, Sam enjoys hiking, fishing, & volunteering at Temple Beth El.
Sam is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a veteran of the Israel Defense Forces.
Jennifer B. McCarthy
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Jenny has over 15 years of experience as a mergers & acquisitions advisory professional. She joined Healthcare Advisory Partners in 2008. Prior to joining us, Jenny worked in the corporate strategy department at Amgen, one of the world's largest independent biotechnology companies. When not working to maximize value, Jenny enjoys tennis, travel & mentoring young women.
Jenny is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley.
